Fitbit Data Takeout Guide

Fitbit collects many different direct interaction data types and interpretations of those data types. Please follow the Fitbit Data Takeout instructions below to retrieve your entire historical dataset from Fitbit.

Easy tutorial for Fitbit data takeout

Your online data dashboard accepts uploads from major data providers like Fitbit. This is connected to your mobile account on the Best Life app.

Retrieve and decide what to do with your data using the Fitbit data takeout instructions below.

First, configure the export

Go to Fitbit Data Export, select Request Data towards the bottom of the page.

It’s easy to overlook this, be sure you scroll down to the heading Export Account Archive.

Once you have requested a data archive, you will need to approve it within the email inbox used to create your Fitbit account.

You can monitor the progress of this export from the Fitbit data export page linked above.

Fitbit will also email you once this is completed and ready to download.

Download your data archive when it is ready then proceed.

Finally, upload to your dashboard

Upload your Fitbit data at the My LLIF Data Upload page. You can get there from the top-right account icon on your data dashboard, or by using the button below.

Populate the “Choose File” with the file you downloaded. If asked which file type this upload is for, select Fitbit.

Select “Upload” to finish the process. Your upload progress is shown in the same screen.
