Facebook collects many different direct interaction data types and interpretations of those data types. Please follow the Facebook Data Takeout instructions below to minimize the size of your Facebook download.

Separately, you can use the Facebook portal to review and manage all your information within Facebook.

Easy tutorial for Facebook data takeout

Your online data dashboard accepts uploads from major data providers like Facebook. This is connected to your mobile account on the Best Life app.

Retrieve and decide what to do with your data using the Facebook data takeout instructions below.

First, configure the export

Go to Facebook’s Download Your Information page.

Set the available options as follows

Date Range: “All of my data”
Format: JSON
Media Quality: Low

Deselect the option for Stories.

Select “Request a download”

Next, we wait...

Facebook will send you a notification when your file is ready to download.

From the Download Your Information page, choose the “Available Copies” tab.

From Available Copies, select the Download button.

You will be asked to confirm your identity by entering your password.

Once confirmed, your facebook file will download to your device and will be named “facebook-user_id.zip”

Finally, upload to your dashboard

Upload your Facebook data at the My LLIF Data Upload page. You can get there from the top-right account icon on your data dashboard, or by using the button below.

Populate the “Choose File” with the file you downloaded. If asked which file type this upload is for, select Facebook.

Select “Upload” to finish the process. Your upload progress is shown in the same screen.
